Fun new adventures

This weekend was the beginning of my three weekends of trips. This first one was a Rip Trainer TRX Course. The Rip trainer for those of you who don't know is a stick with a bungy attached to one end. Because it's asymmetrically loaded, you use your contralateral oblique subsystem.
I sounded smart huh? :) *cheeseing* Just a wee bit proud of that sentence...

For example: Raise your left hand. Look down at your shirt. See the folds that raising your hand created? What direction are they pointed in? ~~The correct answer is diagonally.
That's the reason when we walk we swing opposite hand and foot. That's the "contralateral oblique subsystem". As the Rip Trainer works this, it's main function is for rotational movement... GREAT for the core! 6 pack here I come!! ... ya ya abs are made in the kitchen ... I know ..... *sad face* I know... I'm workin on it!

Well, If you've never heard of TRX check out my mom's blog:
She writes about everything from todays Work Out of the Week, to Nutritious delicacies, to how to have a metabolic blast. It's basically awesome. Just sayin'.

So this Rip course was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it! Learning from Master Marc was such a blessing. He was very thorough and super informative.

I have already begun reminding my clients to "make apples not apple sauce" which is a cue to activate leg muscles. This is going to be a PHENOMENAL teaching tool and I'm so very very excited to start integrating it into my training.

The first two ladies I have worked with on it have loved it.... the 70 year old man, not so much.

Lesson Learned.

Next conference is this weekend: SPLANKNA!!
pronounced  Splawnk-na
The first a is pronounced with two dotty things above it.
I am so stinking excited for this. OH new avenues ... New Doors.... God honors change and movement.

I am moving my own mountains!! THank God, He has given me that power! :)

In love,
D
